For this new collectable Capsule we have used the original Egypt Army Bivouac Desert Canvas. We found a huge Bivouac Canvas, so we decided to design a new capsule with this beautiful material. Of course in a combination with the deadstock leather details. It’s a true collectors item based on real craftsmanship. There are just two in stock of this unique bag handmade in our atelier in The Netherlands.
This backpack model is a roll-up backpack. The bag can be rolled-up to different heights and is still closable by the in height adjustable belt.
All Atelier de l’Armée bags are one of a kind, individually numbered and constructed from carefully selected materials. The distinct look of our materials can only be achieved by years of usage, therefore our bags may have stains, small repairs, errors, stamps or other natural wear. This is all part of our philosophy, it is what makes them special. Our bags are made by hand with great care for detail in our small workshop in Amsterdam. They are build to last and strong enough to hold all your belongings.

The pack is made from deadstock vegetable tanned full grain cowhide leather and water-repellent, woven high-end gysel nylons and army washed canvas. It’s fully lined and has 3 small inner pockets. The top part is adjustable in height and is closable by two adjustable leather straps. The side panels contain pockets. It has a padded back panel for soft wearing and laptop protection.
